Short version: SidePanel for Browsers does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data. The app is free, with no purchases, no accounts, and no analytics or tracking of any kind.

What we collect

SidePanel for Browsers (the desktop application) does not collect any personal information. We do not use analytics, tracking, or telemetry of any kind inside the app.

What is stored locally on your device

The following data is stored exclusively on your computer, in the folder %AppData%\QuickPanel (in the Microsoft Store build, Windows stores this in the app's own isolated data folder):

App settings — your preferences (theme color, panel size, button position, startup preference).
Added apps list — the names and URLs of web apps you have pinned to the panel.
Browser session profiles — each web app you open runs in its own WebView2 profile, which stores cookies, login sessions, and cached content for that app. This is what allows you to stay logged in to WhatsApp, Gmail, and other services between sessions.

None of this data is ever transmitted to us or to any third party.

Third-party web content

When you open a web app inside SidePanel for Browsers (such as Gmail, WhatsApp Web, or any other website), that website's own privacy policy applies to any data you interact with. SidePanel for Browsers acts only as a container — we have no access to the content of those sessions.

Favicon service

SidePanel for Browsers fetches app icons using Google's favicon service (https://www.google.com/s2/favicons). This is a public, anonymous request and does not include any personal information.

No advertising

SidePanel for Browsers does not display third-party advertisements and does not share any data with advertising networks.

Children's privacy

SidePanel for Browsers is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.

Changes to this policy

If this privacy policy changes — for example, if a future version introduces optional purchases — the updated version will be published at this URL with a new "Last updated" date before that change takes effect.
